SeaTac Airport Transfer & Car Service — Curbside Pickup | NW Car Services

Home  /  Services  /  Airport Transfer

We meet you at the curb, not in a parking garage

Chauffeured transfers to and from SeaTac, Boeing Field, and Paine Field, with your flight tracked in real time from the moment it takes off. You collect your luggage, we text the exact door number, and the vehicle is at the curb. No garage walk, no surge pricing, and no charge if your flight runs late.

01 — Arrivals

How pickup works, step by step.

The arrival is the part most people worry about, so it is the part we have engineered hardest. Here is exactly what happens, in order.

01At booking

Give us your flight number

When you book, include your airline and flight number. That single detail is what turns a scheduled pickup into a tracked one. Flight monitoring begins the moment your reservation is confirmed, and you receive written confirmation with your vehicle class and pickup protocol.

02In the air

We track the flight, not the schedule

Your chauffeur is dispatched against your actual inbound flight. If you land forty minutes early, the vehicle is already there. If you sit on a tarmac in Denver for three hours, the pickup slides with you and there is no delay charge. You do not need to call, text, or rebook.

03On landing

Send a quick text

Once you are on the ground, text the number on your confirmation to let us know. Your chauffeur is already positioned nearby and begins moving toward the terminal. This step is a courtesy rather than a requirement — we can see the flight land — but it tightens the timing.

04Baggage claim

Collect your luggage without rushing

Head down to the baggage claim level and get your bags. There is no need to hurry and no meter running against you — wait time is measured from actual landing rather than scheduled arrival, and domestic arrivals include a standard grace period while international arrivals include a longer window for customs and immigration.

05The handoff

We text your door number

The doors along the baggage claim level are numbered. Once your chauffeur is at the curb, we text the exact door number to walk out of. You step outside and the vehicle is directly in front of you.

This is the part that separates a black car from an app. There is no elevator to an upper level of the parking garage, no shuttle, and no scanning a line of identical cars for a license plate while holding two suitcases.

06Departure

Luggage loaded, and away

Your chauffeur handles the bags and you are on the road. The fare is the one you approved at booking, with nothing added that was not agreed in advance.

Prefer to be met inside

Meet and Greet is a $50 add-on. Your chauffeur waits inside the terminal holding a name sign, meets you as you come out, and assists with luggage from baggage claim to the vehicle. It is worth it for first-time visitors, international arrivals, unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers, and anyone arriving somewhere unfamiliar after a long flight. Standard service without the add-on is curbside pickup at your baggage claim door.

02 — The difference

Why the pickup point matters more than the car.

Rideshare at SeaTac

  • Walk with luggage to a designated pickup zone on an upper level of the parking garage
  • Request the ride only after you have arrived and are standing there
  • Driver assigned minutes before pickup, with no accountability if they cancel
  • Surge pricing when a wave of flights lands at once, which is exactly when you need a ride
  • No flight tracking — a delay means starting the whole process over
  • Vehicle type unknown until it arrives, and luggage capacity is a gamble
  • Support is an app queue rather than a person

NW Car Services

  • Curbside at the baggage claim level, with the door number texted to you
  • Vehicle and chauffeur assigned and confirmed in writing before you fly
  • The same licensed, background-checked chauffeur who was assigned at booking
  • Fare quoted upfront with no meters and no surge, whatever the weather or demand
  • Flight tracked in real time, with no charge for delays
  • Vehicle class sized to your party and luggage at the time of booking
  • 24/7 dispatch at 206-747-0485, answered by a person

03 — Departures

Outbound, timed backward from your flight.

Do not calculate your own pickup time. Give dispatch the flight time, airline, and terminal, and we work backward from the check-in window, accounting for the route, the day, the hour, and typical security waits. Getting this wrong in either direction costs you either a flight or an hour of your life at a gate.

Recommended airport arrival times before departure by flight type
Flight typeBe at the airportWhy
Domestic~2 hours priorStandard bag drop and security. Add time for peak morning banks and holiday periods.
International~3 hours priorLonger check-in, document verification, and customs processing on the outbound side.
Peak morning+30 minutesThe early-morning departure bank produces the longest security queues of the day.
Holiday travel+30 to 60 minutesTerminal volume and curbside congestion both climb sharply around major holidays.
Group departure+30 minutesLarger parties move through bag drop and security measurably slower than solo travelers.
Early departures

Pre-dawn pickups are routine for us and are the single strongest argument for pre-arranged service. At 4:00 or 4:30 in the morning, app availability is thin and cancellations are common — precisely when you have the least margin to recover. A confirmed reservation means a specific chauffeur is scheduled to be in your driveway, not that an algorithm will go looking for one. Book early-morning departures further ahead than you would a midday flight.

04 — Airports served

Three airports, one standard.

SEA

Seattle-Tacoma Intl
17801 International Blvd
SeaTac, WA 98158
~14 mi to downtown

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Our highest-volume destination by a wide margin, and the airport our pickup protocol was built around. SeaTac moves enormous passenger volume through a compact footprint, which is why the curbside baggage claim handoff matters so much here — the alternative involves luggage, an elevator, and a walk across a parking structure.

We serve all airlines and all arrival types, domestic and international, at every hour. Departures are timed to your check-in window; arrivals are tracked flight by flight.

  • All airlines and terminals served
  • Domestic and international arrivals
  • Curbside pickup at the baggage claim level
  • Door number texted before you exit
  • Meet and Greet available at $50
  • Extended grace period on international arrivals
  • Direct connections to Pier 66 and Pier 91
  • Sedan through fourteen-passenger Sprinter
BFI

Boeing Field
King County Intl
Seattle, WA 98108
~6 mi to downtown

Boeing Field / King County International Airport

The region's private and corporate aviation hub, roughly five miles south of downtown. We serve the fixed-base operators and the terminal directly, with pickups coordinated to tail number and actual arrival rather than to a public flight board.

Private aviation schedules move constantly. Give dispatch the FBO and the tail number at booking and your chauffeur coordinates directly with the operator, so the vehicle is positioned when the aircraft actually lands.

  • FBO and private terminal access
  • Tail number coordination on request
  • Direct handoff on the ramp side where permitted
  • Discreet service for corporate aviation
  • Downtown Seattle in roughly 12 to 20 minutes
  • SeaTac connection in roughly 12 to 18 minutes
PAE

Paine Field
Snohomish County
Everett, WA 98204
~28 mi to Seattle

Paine Field, Everett

Snohomish County's commercial airport, and often the faster door-to-door option for travelers north of Seattle even when the airfare is comparable. The passenger terminal is small enough that curbside pickup is straightforward, with no garage navigation at all.

We quote both PAE and SEA on request so you can compare total door-to-door time rather than just the ticket price.

  • Curbside terminal pickup
  • Everett in roughly 10 to 20 minutes
  • Downtown Seattle in roughly 40 to 70 minutes
  • Bellevue in roughly 40 to 60 minutes
  • Boeing facility and corporate visitor service
  • Both-airport quotes on request

05 — Routes and timing

Typical drive times to and from SeaTac.

Ranges below are door-to-door estimates under normal conditions. Weekday mornings and late afternoons run at the upper end. Because your chauffeur tracks conditions in real time, departure timing is adjusted rather than assumed.

06 — Choosing a vehicle

Airport travel is a luggage problem.

Party size decides the seats; luggage decides the vehicle. A couple with two large cases and ski bags does not fit a sedan, and finding that out at the curb at 5:00 a.m. is nobody's idea of a good start.

Vehicle selection guide for airport transfers by passengers and luggage
VehiclePassengersBagsBook it when
Lincoln MKTUp to 33One or two travelers with standard checked luggage
Chevrolet SuburbanUp to 66Families, oversized bags, skis or golf clubs, winter pass travel
Mercedes-Benz MetrisUp to 76Five to seven travelers, or when easy step-in access matters
Mercedes-Benz SprinterUp to 1414Groups, so everyone arrives together on one fare
Tell dispatch what you are carrying

Bag counts assume standard checked luggage of roughly 27 inches. A ski or snowboard bag takes about the space of two checked bags, and two full golf sets will not fit a sedan trunk alongside passenger luggage. Car seats, instrument cases, and oversized cases all change the math. Say so at booking and we size the vehicle correctly the first time — child car seats are provided free on request.

07 — What is included

Stated plainly, before you book.

Included in every airport fare

  • Vehicle and professional chauffeur, assigned and confirmed in writing
  • Real-time flight tracking with automatic pickup adjustment
  • No charge for flight delays, however long
  • Standard wait time from actual landing, extended for international arrivals
  • Curbside pickup at the baggage claim level with the door number texted
  • All fuel, tolls, and standard airport access fees along the route
  • Child car seats on request at no additional charge
  • Luggage assistance to and from the vehicle
  • Bottled water and phone charging on board

Quoted separately or added

  • Meet and Greet — $50. Chauffeur inside the terminal with a name sign
  • Extended wait time beyond the included grace period, billed in increments
  • Additional stops not listed at the time of booking
  • Gratuity, always at your discretion
  • Peak-period rates on holidays and major event dates, disclosed at quote
  • Return leg, quoted as its own route or as a round trip

Everything on the right is disclosed when you are quoted. Nothing appears on a receipt that was not agreed before the ride.

08 — Who books airport transfers

Different travelers, same problem solved.

Traveler 01

Business travelers

Early departures and late arrivals on schedules that do not tolerate a cancelled app ride. Corporate accounts add consolidated billing and preferred chauffeur assignment.

Traveler 02

Families

Car seats installed before pickup at no charge, luggage handled, and one vehicle instead of splitting across two rideshares with a toddler and four suitcases.

Traveler 03

Cruise passengers

SeaTac to Pier 66 or Pier 91 timed to the boarding window, in a vehicle sized for cruise luggage rather than airline luggage.

Traveler 04

International arrivals

Extended grace period for customs and immigration, and Meet and Greet for travelers landing somewhere unfamiliar after a long flight.

Traveler 05

Groups and teams

Up to fourteen in one Sprinter on a single fare, arriving together rather than trickling in across twenty minutes in separate cars.

Traveler 06

Elderly and assisted travel

Low step-in vehicles, luggage handled door to door, Meet and Greet inside the terminal, and folding mobility equipment stowed at no charge.

09 — Airport transfer questions

Answers about airport service.

Where does my chauffeur meet me at SeaTac?

Curbside at the baggage claim level. After you collect your luggage, we text the exact numbered door where the vehicle is waiting at the curb. You do not walk to a parking garage and you do not search for a car. Optional Meet and Greet at $50 places your chauffeur inside the terminal holding a name sign instead.

How is this different from rideshare pickup at SeaTac?

Rideshare passengers walk with luggage to a designated pickup area on an upper level of the parking garage and wait for a driver assigned minutes earlier, at a fare that surges when a wave of flights lands. We meet you curbside at baggage claim with a pre-assigned vehicle and chauffeur, at a fare quoted before you flew.

What happens if my flight is delayed or arrives early?

Nothing changes, and there is no charge. We track every inbound flight in real time and adjust your pickup automatically, whether you land hours late or well ahead of schedule.

How much wait time is included after landing?

Domestic arrivals include a standard grace period after landing, and international arrivals include a longer window for customs and immigration. Because your chauffeur tracks the flight, wait time begins at actual landing rather than scheduled arrival. Extended wait beyond the included period is billed in increments and quoted at booking.

How early will you pick me up for a departing flight?

We time pickup backward from your check-in window, accounting for route, time of day, and typical security waits. As a general rule, plan to be at the airport about two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. Give dispatch the flight time and we set the pickup rather than asking you to estimate it.

How much does a car from SeaTac to downtown Seattle cost?

Fares are quoted upfront using starting-from rates that adjust for distance, vehicle class, and time of day. There are no meters and no surge pricing, so the quote you approve is the amount you pay. Call 206-747-0485 or request a quote online for an exact figure for your route.

How long does the drive from SeaTac to downtown Seattle take?

Roughly 14 miles and typically 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the hour. Weekday mornings and late afternoons run at the upper end of that range.

Which vehicle should I book for an airport transfer?

One to three passengers with standard luggage fit the Lincoln MKT sedan. Four to six passengers, or parties with skis, golf clubs, or oversized bags, are better served by the Chevrolet Suburban. Parties of seven fit the Metris, and groups up to fourteen travel together in one Sprinter.

Do you provide child car seats for airport transfers?

Yes — infant, convertible, and booster seats on request at no additional charge. Give us the child's age and weight at booking so the correct seat is installed before pickup.

Do you serve Boeing Field and Paine Field?

Yes. Boeing Field (BFI) is served with FBO access and tail-number coordination for private and corporate aviation, and Paine Field (PAE) in Everett with curbside terminal pickup.

Can you take me from SeaTac to the cruise terminal?

Yes — airport to Pier 66 or Pier 91 is among our most common bookings, particularly during Alaska sailing season. Departures are timed to your cruise line's boarding window, and the vehicle is sized for cruise luggage rather than airline luggage.

How far in advance should I book an airport transfer?

At least 24 hours, and earlier for pre-dawn departures, holidays, and group bookings needing multiple vehicles. Same-day requests are accommodated whenever fleet availability allows — call 206-747-0485 for immediate dispatch.
